PhillyNet - What is it?
Philadelphia Network (PhillyNet) operating within EC seeks to nurture and develop
the physical, social and community life of Elijah Centre. The philosophy of PhillyNet
is that all of life is connected and there can be no schism between activities in
a church service on a Sunday morning and how we manage our physical bodies and the
development of our soul during the rest of the week.
To this end some of the main of objectives of the Philadelphia Network are:
- To provide alternative and complementary interactions for the community beyond Sunday
Mornings that will nurture and develop the individuals and thus the entire community.
- To release new levels of creativity within the body and develop unique ways in which
the body will ‘minister’ to itself.
- To increase the size of the committed core of the community by eliminating marginalization
and peripheral positions.
- To promote healthy balanced well-rounded lifestyles as part of the holistic development
of a 21st century kingdom believer.
- To provide an environment where the talents and gifts of the Elijah Centre community
can be nurtured and allowed to blossom into excellence at a national and international
level while at the same time adhering to the values and principles of the Kingdom.
- To provide an entry point into the Kingdom for individuals who might otherwise not
encounter Christ.
